Pete Meyers

One of Tom Brennan’s BC roommates, Pete Meyers is the Chairman and President of The Thomas M. Brennan Memorial Foundation, Inc.

Pete Meyers was the Chief Financial Officer of Slayback Pharma LLC, a KKR portfolio company, until Slayback was sold to Azurity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to joining Slayback, Mr. Meyers served in Chief Financial Officer roles at Eagle Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Motif BioSciences Inc. and TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals Corporation.

Prior to his role at TetraLogic, Mr. Meyers spent 18 years in health care investment banking, holding positions of increasing responsibility at Dillon, Read &Co., Credit Suisse First Boston LLC and, most recently, as Co-Head of Global Health Care Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.

Mr. Meyers currently serves on the Board of Directors of Immutep Limited (NASDAQ: IMMP;ASX: IMM). Mr. Meyers also serves on the Board of Directors of East End Hospice, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School.

 

Jennifer (Gentile) Brennan Waterhouse

Jennifer is a Co-Founder of the Thomas Brennan Memorial Foundation. She is a 1992 graduate of Villanova University.

Upon graduation, she worked at JP Morgan on the Fixed Income trading floor (where she met Tom) and is a graduate of the Morgan Finance Program.

Jen then earned a Masters Degree in Education at Boston College in 1998. She worked in the Brookline School system as well as Jumpstart while in Boston. She then had a brief stint teaching Garden City High School (Tom’s alma mater) when they moved back to NY for Tom to begin his job at Sandler O’Neill in 1999.

Jen had two children with Tom; she, Catherine, and Thomas currently reside in Chappaqua, New York with her husband, Larry Waterhouse III, and her stepchildren, Anna and Larry IV.

Rob Saville

Rob Saville is a Co-Founder of The Thomas Brennan Memorial Foundation.  He is a 1991 graduate of Boston College with a B.A. in English & Political Science and had the pleasure (and sometimes misfortune) of being Tom’s roommate for three years while at The Heights.   

Rob received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and is currently Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Five Star Electric Corp., one of the country’s largest electrical contracting firms.  For over a decade, Five Star electricians have proudly powered up the “Tribute in Light” in lower Manhattan, honoring the lives of all victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on our country.  

Rob is involved in a number of charitable and community organizations, including the Plandome Fire Department, where he currently serves as First Deputy Chief.

Steve Marconi

Steve graduated from BC as the Foundation’s first scholar in 2008.

After spending a number of years living in NYC, he and his wife (his BC sweetheart!) relocated to NJ to raise their growing family.
Steve spent 13 years at Pearson PLC, initially in their Corporate Finance group and most recently leading finance for their online higher education division. That division was spun-out in 2023 as Boundless Learning, with Steve staying-on in an expanded role as CFO.
In his free time, Steve enjoys immersing his three kids in the world of sports, jazz, old cars and home brewing. He joined the TMBMF Board in 2018.

John Scola

John Scola is a previous recipient of the Thomas M. Brennan Memorial Foundation scholarship, graduating from Boston College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

John is currently the Controller at Foundation Medicine.

Prior to joining Foundation Medicine, John worked in various roles within the Audit practice at Ernst & Young and is a licensed CPA within the state of Massachusetts.

In his free time, John enjoys playing basketball, cycling, and reading. John currently lives in Medford, MA with his wife, Ella, and their cat, Watermelon.
